A grammar school pupil is believed to have left Britain to join Isis in Syria.

Shabazz Suleman, 18, disappeared during study leave for A-levels in May and is thought to have fled the country in order to fight alongside jihadis in the Islamist terror group.

The Royal Grammar School, in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, has called in Thames Valley Police’s Prevent team in response to the disappearance in order to educate pupils about terrorism .

However, Mr Suleman’s mother, Noreen Khan, 37, brushed off claims that her son had become a militant.
